Fellowship Bible Church
Our Story
By the mid 1990’s, there were many believers in the Pierz area who were longing to see a Bible-believing church with a strong gospel witness planted in their community. Many of these brothers and sisters were involved in one of several Bible studies in the area. At the same time, Fellowship Bible Church of St. Cloud had been praying fervently for God’s guidance as to where they should plant a new church.
In 1999, God would satisfy these longings and powerfully answer the prayers of his people. God did this by drawing together the Bible study groups to partner with Fellowship Bible Church of St. Cloud to form Fellowship Bible Church of Pierz (FBC). The first worship service was held on Easter Sunday April 4, 1999 at Pioneer Elementary. Not only did God bring FBC into existence, He has established this young church by continually providing faithful leaders to care for His people.
FBC has experienced its share of challenges, not the least of which was the unexpected death of Pastor Todd MacDonnell in 2010. Yet God held together this grief-stricken Church and has made it stronger through trial.
The past few years have been years of significant transition. On September 12, 2012 FBC called Brandon Bellomo to be its new pastor. And, after 14 years in Pioneer Elementary, God provided FBC with its own building, which was purchased in April of 2013.
These are new and exciting days in the life of FBC. We know that God will continue to build His Church in Pierz and we count it an honor to see how God continues to mature us and use us to spread the fragrance of Christ in the Pierz community and beyond.
